Upgrading to Windows 7

As you're probably aware, Connectify only works with Windows 7, because it uses some of the fantastic new networking features in Windows 7. So if you don't have Windows 7 on your computer, then you're going to have to upgrade to use Connectify.

That said, we're using Windows 7, and there are a lot of new features that we think you'll love. There is a new task bar, a complete virtual machine of Windows XP for compatibility, much faster boot times, better performance, an overhauled Windows Media Center, and so much more. At this time Connectify does not work on Windows 7 Starter Edition, a stripped down version that comes on some netbooks that is missing some key pieces of the operating system.

So lets make sure your computer is ready for the upgrade. Microsoft has provided a download on their site to make sure that your PC can run Windows 7, first run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to do a check your PC for compatibility.

After you have completed the compatibility check and you're ready to make the jump, head over to Amazon.com and pick up a new copy of Microsoft 7:
