User Spotlight: Better Streaming While Traveling

connectifymeBlog, Travel

One of the best parts of what we do here at Connectify is hearing from satisfied customers who write in to tell us how our product has made their lives just a little bit easier. Every week, we get Facebook posts, tweets, and emails to our support team that help us better understand why Connectify Hotspot is so important to millions of users around the world.

That got us thinking: since the insights gleaned from your messages are so helpful to us, why not share them with the rest of the Connectify community. Today, we’ve got an awesome tip from Hotspot PRO user, Randy:

Like so many of you, Randy enjoys how simple Connectify Hotspot is to setup. In fact, it’s been our mission all along to give you powerful networking features at the click-of-a-button. But our user friendly ethos really comes into play when Randy wants to stay connected while traveling.

These days, more and more road warriors like Randy are making sure to pack streaming media devices like the Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV Stick when they’re staying in hotels. It makes perfect sense. With your streaming media device in tow, you can easily stream content from your favorite services like Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, and more, right onto the hotel TV.

The only problem is, without Connectify Hotspot in the mix, you have to go through the annoying process of reconnecting your Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV Stick with every new hotel Wi-Fi network you encounter.

Unable to locate Global Block

As Randy has discovered, Connectify Hotspot lets you set-and-forget your streaming media device. All you have to do is connect your Chromecast or Fire TV Stick to your Connectify Hotspot once. Then, any time you want to use your streaming media device in a hotel or friend’s house, all you have to do is start your Hotspot, and voila… you’re instantly ready to start watching movies, TV shows, and other streamable online content.

Want even more flexibility? Our deluxe Hotspot MAX package lets you control the Chromecast from mobile devices connected to your Hotspot, even when your media dongle is connected directly to the source network. That’s right. With Hotspot MAX in Bridging Mode, tablets, smartphones, and other devices connected to your Connectify Hotspot appear right on the source network so they can fully interface with your streaming media devices.
